Rental Planning Conditions in Delaware City
In May 2026 the Delaware City Refining Company told state regulators it would start repairs on its coker carbon monoxide boiler, work the state expected to last about four weeks. DNREC's release adds that two state monitoring stations sit near the refinery and that a comparable repair in 2025 ran 17 days. Industrial repair windows like this are why the town deserves a site-planning conversation.
Delaware's emergency preparedness guide calls flooding the most common natural disaster in the state and says hurricanes can bring storm surge, inland flooding and high wind. It also notes the state is bounded by water on three sides. When planning a trailer location, choose higher ground and confirm a dry access route.
Ask before you rent: How many crew members will eat on site during a repair shift, and where could a trailer sit with access to power, water and drainage?
